House and family

Welcome to Shropshire HomePoint.

Shropshire HomePoint provides a one-stop solution for people seeking housing and manages the Shropshire Housing Register, also known as the Housing Waiting List.

The scheme advertises the majority of social / affordable housing in the county (excluding Telford and Wrekin, which is a separate local authority area) and increasingly markets private sector properties. Social housing is affordable housing allocated on the basis of need at lower than market rate rents.

This website can be used to search and bid (apply) for available homes and has useful advice and information on other Housing Solutions available to you.

Whether you want to move or hope to stay where you are, Shropshire HomePoint strongly recommends you complete and download a Shropshire Council Housing Solutions Action Plan of potential solutions available to you.

Once you are registered, you are able to make one bid of interest per week for affordable and social rented properties but can make as many bids as you like for mutual exchanges, low cost home ownership, private rented, house shares and private properties for sale.

For enquiries regarding registering, banding, logging into your account and how to use this website; please view our Frequently Asked Questions, Useful Information Sheet and ‘How to Use’   Website Video Guide.
