About Us

Shropshire HomePoint was founded in 2009 by merging the county's main housing waiting lists into one, to form Shropshire's Common Housing Register, which is also known as the Housing Waiting List.

Working in partnership with Shropshire Council and leading Housing Associations and Landlords in Shropshire, HomePoint operates as a Choice-Based Accommodation Scheme.

The Scheme advertises the majority of affordable housing in the county and increasingly markets private sector properties.

Choice-Based Accommodation is a simpler and easier way of allocating homes by advertising available properties and allowing you to choose for yourself the homes you would like to apply for.

Please go to Partners & Landlords for a full list of those involved in the scheme and their contact details.

For further information about how the scheme works please go to How it works and Downloads.
